The KRU management team has extensive experience in starting and growing profitable businesses in relatively short time periods with minimal capital requirements. The team brings together a wealth of knowledge in financial management, sales, marketing, engineering, construction, agriculture, land management and project management. Relationships built throughout the industry are a key element in developing a link with vendors and contractors. Our team has worked directly with experienced contractors and integral companies responsible for helping develop the renewable energy industry. These relationships will prove instrumental to the financial success of each facility developed.
With considerable experience in the agrogas and solar industry, our core leaders have collectively achieved many successes. KRU will leverage strategic partnerships to build a dedicated on-site team to ensure the successful operation and maintenance of each facility, with oversight provided by the management team and its partners in every phase of the project.
Global Management Team
Jason Yeo Hock Huat, Chairmen
A native Singaporean, Mr. Yeo is the founder and majority shareholder of JCS Group which an international high tech cleaning solutions provider. Mr. Yeo is also the founder and owner of JCS-Vanetec, an aerospace engineering company, JCS-Technologies, JCS Automation Pte and JCS-Echigo with offices in Thailand, Singapore and China. JCS Group has a number of other operating subsidiaries under its corporate umbrella throughout Malaysia, United States, Britain, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and Suzhou. Mr. Yeo is also the founder and Executive Chairmen for the publicly traded company Mclean Technologies Berhad in which Mr. Yeo was the driving force behind the companies IPO. Mr. Yeo graduated from Ngee Ann Poltechnic of Singapore with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and later graduated with his Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.
Theodore Krueger, Group President, CEO & Founder
In January of 2008, Mr. Krueger co-founded a company which developed a 1.5MW solar field in Kingman, AZ. This was one of the first solar field contracts signed which took advantage of the Renewable Energy Credit. Mr. Krueger successfully secured 8-figure funding for this project. Mr. Krueger has previously been active in the Oil and Gas industry, involved in structuring general and limited partnerships, joint ventures, and public offerings with companies including NGas, XTO energy, Range Resources (T. Boone Pickens), and Chesapeake Energy, involving energy financing in excess of $200 million. Mr. Krueger holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of North Texas and previously held his series 7, 63, and 22 financial advisor licenses. Mr. Krueger's most recent venture was co-founding Vapor H20 Resources Inc, located in Ardmore Oklahoma that had the capacity of recycling 5,500 bbls per day of Frac water for XTO Energy, an Exxon Mobil Company in which was later sold to a third party investor.
Dennis Tan, Group Executive Vice President/Director/Malaysia CEO
Before joining KRU, Dennis was a Partner at an international law firm. He has a wealth of experience advising on international M&A deals and cross-border acquisitions, investment fund establishment and FDI work, as well as global corporate and tax structuring for multinationals, and was named by the Singapore Business Review as one of Singapore’s most influential lawyers below 40 in 2016. Dennis has previously worked in Silicon Valley, and graduated with both a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Overall Dean’s List) from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Taxation from New York University under the NUS-NYU LL.B. / LL.M. Dual Degree Program.
Bud Wylie, Group COO/ Chief Agronomist/KRU Agro CEO
Bud Wylie, a devoted agricultural business professional with a business management degree from Wayland Baptist University was raised in the energy business and working on a dryland farm helping with a cow-calf and stocker operation ignited a spark for agriculture, not just status quo, but innovation.
Bud has dedicated a career to many facets of agriculture: seed breeding, production and distribution, livestock operations, grain storage and the last 10 years focused on value added crops through industrial uses for fuel, fiber and chemicals. This has led to a broad understanding of many biochemical and thermochemical technologies that can be applied for revenue improvement in rural communities.
Bud maintains credentials as a Certified Crop Advisor through the American Society of Agronomy to complement his ongoing interest in developing economic opportunities for agriculture.
Othman Mirzan, Group/Malaysia Chief Investment Officer
Mr Mirzan has been heavily involved in commodities and energy since 2015, when he set up a consultancy practice and performed advisory roles on over USD 380m of international contracts. A shareholder since KRU's emergence in Asia, Mr Mirzan has been pivotal in gaining traction locally, whilst providing a feasible scale up plan to ensure KRU Asia a large market share in the Renewable Energy Market of South East Asia. With close relationships to industry leading Venture Capital and Hedge funds, Mr. Mirzan will be a major component of securing KRU's expansion and introducing the Biogas model as a feasible alternative to commonly found renewable energy systems in Asia. Othman holds a BA from the University of Colorado Boulder, and is the Founder and Director of Alpine at the Malaysian Ski Association.
Dave Tan, Group Chief Technology Officer
Dave’s experience with power plant development spans more than 3 decades. Before joining KRU, Dave was the Project Manager heading the implementation of the greenfield Tembusu Multi-Utilities Complex on Jurong Island, a coal-fired steam generation plant that also provides steam, demineralized water and waste water treatment to neighboring factories. Other projects that he has been involved in include the Stage I development of Pulau Seraya Power Station (including installation of 3 units of 250MW steam plants and commissioning of 230kV switchhouse equipment), the implementation of various expansion and development projects at Senoko Power Station (including installation of 4 units of 125MW gas turbines and boiler modification to fire natural gas), the Stage I Development of Tuas Power Station (including installation of 2 units of oil-fired 600MW steam plants and commissioning of 230kV and 400kV switchhouse equipment), and the Stage II Development of Tuas Power Station (including testing and commissioning of 4 units of 367MW gas-fired combined cycle plants). Dave graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
Loh Weng, Group Chief Financial Officer
Mr Loh Weng Yew holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from Curtin University of Technology, Australia and a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh UK. He is also a Fellow member of both the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia. He has been with the Group since November 2009 and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance and administration. Mr Loh was appointed as CFO of MClean on 1 April 2010 and currently oversees the Group’s financials and participate in the Group’s strategic developments.
Edwin Nijhof, Director Manufacturing
A Singapore PR from The Netherlands. Lived since 1995 in several Asian countries and worked for several MNC’s during his career. Mr Nijhof started his career almost immediately with traveling to Asia for a Dutch MNC and also worked in Singapore as a service co-ordicator for a Dutch MNC, for the optical media industry. He was in charge of all service related issues in Asia Pacific. Worked closely with the Dutch HQ. Expanded the local (Singapore) office from a group of 4 to 12 to keep up with the demand in Asia for the Optical Media Equipment. He was also the Project Manager in Singapore for a German MNC in the print industry as well as in the optical media industry. He was in charge of all service related issues in Asia Pacific for the optical media department and worked closely with the German HQ. Started at JCS Technologies in 2012 to start the Diamond Powder Coating Project. He was in charge of this project and grew JCS Technologies from a 1 man company to over 15 employees at this moment. Is able to keep the overview of lager more complex projects and can explain them in simple views. During his time JCS Technologies successfully designed – manufactured – installed and commissioned over 30 Diamond Powder Coating Systems in the market at the moment and is in charge of the in 2015 started trading company JCS Greentech which focusses on selling the raw materials needed for producing the Diamond Coated Wire as well as selling the produced Diamond Wire. With his western upbringing and his long Asian experience he is able take the best of both worlds and combine them in his job at JCS Technologies.
David O’Donoghue, Vice President of Business Development (Malaysia)
A British citizen born and raised in Zimbabwe, Mr O’Donoghue looks to further his expertise in the renewable energy development sector working along CEO and President of KRU Energy Asia, Mr Krueger. Mr O’Donoghue has worked on various other renewable and sustainable energy projects in the region prior to joining KRU full time.
Prior to moving to South East Asia in 2017 he worked for Zimbabwe’s largest real estate company, Kennan Properties where he successfully closed high value residential and commercial property sales. Mr O’Donoghue completed his high school education in Sherborne School, England and is currently studying a Bachelor of Science correspondence degree part time in the United Kingdom.
Haikal Ansari, Group Chief Engineer
Mohammad Haikal brings over 37 years of essential experience to KRU Energy in engineering, project and construction management. Mr Abdullah has been responsible in total for over 7 Billion USD dollar’s worth of industrial projects throughout the world. Including such projects located at the North Sea Platform – Module Installation on Jack-up Rigs to Plant in Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos and Philippines. In total Mr Abdullah has managed over 75,000 workers and subcontractors throughout his career. He has previously served as the COO of Chelsea Arabia Saudia, CEO of Zuhair Al Madani in Ras Tenurah and Project Director in Al Suwaidi Ind Services the biggest Petrochemical Project – Saudi Kayan, Jubail. KSA. Mr. Abdullah received his master’s degree in Project Management from Stamford University (USA) and Queensland University of Technology (Australia).

Ahmed Azahari Hashim, Senior Vice President Malaysia / Director
Ahmed Azahari Hashim age 53 years old is a qualified Chartered Accountant from United Kingdom with 30 years experience having worked in the industry in the UK and in Malaysia. His work experience covers working for companies like Touche Ross & Co in the UK, British Petroleum and Sime Darby Group in various management positions and the last position was as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer before leaving to start his own business in Aviation and Oil & Gas sector. He was also appointed as Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman from 2001 to 2007 in Nepline Berhad a shipping company listed on the KLSE. Noor Khafiz Ramli , Director
Noor Khafiz age 39 years old, 11 years’ experience since 2007 as Senior Manager for AU Synergy Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of Rangkaian Iltizam Sdn Bhd. with his responsibility on relation with government sector for Aviation Lubricants and Oil contract awarded since 1997. Also served for GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd since 2002 to manage the sales and inventory for an outlet. Hold Diploma In Wood Industry from UiTM and worked as Research Assistant at Institute of Biological Sciences, University of Malaya after completion of studies in 2001.
